Our Philosophy
At Knight Hall School, learning is fun! Education is based on our shared belief that children learn best through play in an environment that is non-competitive, child oriented and loving. Our mission is to create a stimulating, non-judgmental environment that promotes self-discovery and learning through play. We have fun, and we take fun seriously.
Established in 1927 by Dr. Edna Baxter, Knight Hall School was one of the first nursery schools in Connecticut. Today, it is an independent, nonprofit nursery school and fully equipped child care center. The school also serves as a lab school, helping to train people in early childhood education and development.
